Cats and Plants Will Never, Ever Mix

I can't have ANY plants in my house except for my room because within five minutes the cats WILL be chewing on it. I got a succulant from Trader Joe's today that had a little flower bud coming up. I set it on the stove so I could clean the pot off before taking it to my room. I was only away for ten or fifteen minutes and I came back and the bud was sitting next to the pot. Of course. Darn cats. >.<

I finally saw 21 today. Yay! It was free too, my mom happened to find some old coupons. I liked it. If I hadn't been in a theatre at the time I would have said 'squee' when You Can't Always Get What You Want started to play. The entire time at TJ's I had it stuck in my head (which isn't a bad thing). I'd write more about the actual movie but I don't remember anything that anyone would want to read.

The Secretary of State needs to get a more efficient system for calling people up. I applied for a state ID. Yay. Its to come in two weeks... (Lets see if anyone can find the significance of this fact) I still have not gotten my Voters registration. I'm not sure how long ago it was that I applied for that though.

A teacher of mine has me making an informational website for her. I hope its up to her standards. I'm to the point that I just have to do a bunch of data entry and cleaning up the html. My web design class ironically isn't helping much with this. And if anyone knows how to get PHP to add an entry to a table in MySQL for my personal site, it'd be really awesome of you to tell me how. I try and it doesn't want to work when I use my own variables.

At OTC we've started actually working on the computers that are going to be donated to the little kids, but some of the stuff Mr. L has us doing seems kinda pointless and we didn't have to it last year. Like cleaning the case, monitor, mouse, and keyboards out. I can kinda see cleaning the monitor and mouse, but not the rest. The way keyboards are made they aren't hindered by dust so this an entirely cosmetic action. The monitor needs to be clean so you can see and if the mouse is gunked up it wont work right. Chances are none of the others bothered to clean the rollers inside the mouse well and I don't think the teacher would appreciate us rinsing off the dust on the ball nor would he have a lint free cloth to dry it with (I've found the best way to remove dust from something waterproof is to put it under a faucet.)
And I'm still really, really behind on getting my Net+ cert. If I had been given the list of labs to skip I'd be fine, but nooo they Forgot about me because I'm the only AM student taking it. Augh. I'm also the only BPA member in the morning, so I have to wonder if I'm missing any information about that too.
I still think it odd that so few know what a tilde (~) is and that my teacher called an asterisk (*) an ampersand (&). No idea what he called the ampersand.

Whee

This weekend was great. I only wish I had gotten to go to Youmacon, but it's ok. There's always next year. Besides, the event I wanted to go to most, cosplay shougi, was at four and Mer's birthday party at five.
What ended up actually happening is this. On Saturday, my mom and I went to Borders to get a gift card for my best friend. We got that and I walked out with the House MD Soundtrack. ^^ My mom got two CD's by people I don't know and a two-disc set of Debussy music. Debussy is the one who's music is used on the little five minute stargazer show they had between Red Green's. When we got home I was like "What time is it?" and I looked at my watch to discover it was 10 to five. Eeks. >.< At least she doesn't live far from my house, so it wasn't a big deal to drive me over there. Pizza and cake & ice cream are yummy. Later on, after some talking and working out who was coming and such, we went to the movie theater to see 30 Days of Night. Definitely not my sort of movie. Too much gore and death and did I mention gore? Our number slowly dwindled from seven down to three of us through out the night. I stayed over, which was fun. We talked most of the time, though when we woke up we had a little pillow fight. A rarity for me.
Today and a couple of days last week (since around Halloween) I've been attacking a guy in my computer class who is on Gaiaonline.com. He turned me today 'cause I only had two hearts left. I let it happen and just went to the human base to switch back. :p I have another hundred points to go before I reach slayer though.
I leveled up on the Ninja vs Pirate application to a 'Pirate Vixen' yesterday. W00t.
I've been using a lot of Google things lately. I've got a calendar with most of my favorite shows and other stuff going on, Reader is subscribed to most of my liked feeds, been using Gmail a lot and documents for school assignments a ton. Ah, and this blog? Google.
I sold a ticket to someone besides myself for the LAN party! W00t! And I've two others who might be coming, but I one said he wouldn't be able to get a ride. >.<
I keep using w00t, twice in this post alone. Grr. I saved this and came back to it and I have now reached the rank of Slayer on Gaia. Woot.

woo. We started the Computer Donation Project at OTC last week. Today I wandered off towards a strip mall near me. I got two $5 donations from individuals and one lady didn't have anything on her (which means maybe latter), but was also willing to donate a computer. (cool) Benitos (a pizza place at the strip mall) donated $60! This means I have to make them a sign to carry at the walkathon, but that's okay. Curves donated $10; my mom $5. Bringing me to a total of $85! Woo Hoo!

I'm half watching/listening to Chuck. The ballet scene was really cute. ^^ The whole ninja lady thing was kinda lame though, and if she really is part of some organization they'd so be able to get something off the computer that fell off the shelf. It takes a heck of a lot more than that to erase data. It just means you have do a bunch of pain in the neck stuff that would be easy for an organization with a ninja lady of her caliber.
(Edit on chuck: eeks! Will he get there in time? It's the first episode. What d'you think?)

I can't wait to see heroes! squee~
I wonder who they'll be fighting this time? In TV guide they mentioned a villain worse than Sylar. Uhh, is it just me or do the villains always get worse or stay exactly the same as ever? It isn't like they'd make the villain more boring than before, right? That isn't anything new at all. Hiro better be as awesome as ever and I hope to see more of the kid (Micah?) He seemed like he could be interesting. I didn't like his mom though, the split personality thing has been done too many times on One Life to Live for me to find it interesting.

On the other hand, house with, like, forty job applicants ought to be interesting. I guess by episode four he narrows it down to less than ten or so. I was really mad with the getting rid of House's team, but TV guide (I bought it because it had a Hugh Laurie interview; Hugh: "I am not pregnant!" An eye catching line for the cover of the mag.) ...but TV guide said that the ducklings have just taken different possitions in the hospital. How much you wanna bet that Cameron is working with Wilson?

I'm gonna start a new post for my Heroes commentary and more stuff. Why? 'cause I want them to be separate from my 'I hope blah blah blahs'.
